PictureGuest Speaker Rhonda McNerney

For the past three years Rhonda and her husband Tom have been ministering at Solsberry Christian Church. Before that they ministered in three different Christian churches in Michigan over a 30 year span. Rhonda loves being a minister’s wife and all that comes with that (mostly, lol), especially loving on people. Through the years she has served in just about every area of the church but her favorite has been music, serving as the worship coordinator, which she did for all three churches. Her love for music came from growing up in a singing family, the Melton Family Singers. Growing up, her family traveled, singing and speaking all over the United States. Besides loving the church, Rhonda is in love with her family. Tom and Rhonda have been married for 38 years. They have two married daughters, one son, Samuel, and five grand kids (5 years old and under).

Tammy loves all styles of music and tries to incorporate a variety of them into church services each week. She is a graduate of IU, and spent time at Kentucky Christian University as well. Before coming to SCC, she served as a program director for the Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace and spent several years as a children’s minister in the Bedford area. Tammy has a musical family that consists of her husband Jerry and three children: Zach, Josh & Jillian. They all love to play music, sing, and watch a good movie. You might also find them out biking the trails in Bloomington or in the kitchen making yummy treats!

THE WELL – In John 4:14 the Samaritan woman that met Jesus at the well did so in the midst of her everyday duties. She went to the well to gather water, which is essential for sustaining life. What she found there was so much more! Essential and sustaining yes, but her pause at the well was life changing, energizing, and compelling. Jesus offered a living water that would never run dry! She immediately went to share her story, her experience, so that others might come to know him too and thirst no more…and they did!
